| Abstract:
Induction of pinosylvin and pinosylvin 3-O-methylether was studied in methanolic extracts, in cell wall preparations, and in the culture medium of elicitor-treated Pinus sylvestris cell suspension cultures. Additionaly, the elicitor-mediated increase in the activities of the biosynthetic enzymes phenylalanine ammonia-lyase, stilbene synthase, and pinosylvin 3-O-methyl transferase was documented. | |
