| Abstract:
The study focused on yam as one of the non-traditional export crops currently being promoted by the Ghana Government and also reviewed yam production by the government and yam exports. Ghana's comparative advantage in yam production and export of yam (fresh yam) has been analyzed with reference to different production techniques and levels of yield. Major constraints to improving the yam sub-sector were identified and recommendations made for promoting yam export in Ghana. | |
