REPRODUCTIVE CHANGES OF THE APICAL CONE OF CABBAGE DURING STORAGE |

| Abstract:
After harvesting the apical cone of cabbage is not differentiated. During storage the apical cone changes its form. During this time there is a moment called 'awakening'. Awakening is signed by an increase of growth activating substances. The time between begin of storage and awakening characterises the storage ability of the varieties. The longer this period is the better is the storage ability of cabbage. Russian varieties with best storage ability are Simowka 1474 and Amager 611. | |
