Abstract:
The experiment was conducted in the Small Meander Valley in the Aegean Region in Turkey where dried fig production is concentrated. An orchard was selected in lowland where the trees were 10 years old. A fertilizer experiment was set up, in which K was added in four levels. In one part of the experiment N and P, and in the other part N, P, and Mg fertilizations were kept constant. At the beginning of fruit ripening period, leaf and fruit samples were taken and analyzed for mineral contents. Some physical characteristics were also measured. Significant differences were determined with respect to treatments as well as to some significant relationships among treatments.
