TRANSMISSION OF DIANTHOVIRUSES

Author:   C. Hiruki
Abstract:
Dianthoviruses are isometric, with a diameter of 31–35 nm, and contain a bipartite, positive sense, single-stranded RNA genome. Research on the modes of transmission of dianthoviruses is scarce, although transmission by three kinds of vector such as nematodes, fungi and insects has been implicated. This paper critically reviews the current status of transmission studies involving dianthoviruses.
