Authors:   J. Kegong, L. Dong, Z. Jinting, L. Changgui, Z. Wenxia, L. Zhiru
Abstract:
In March of 1990, about 0.5 hectares of peach meadow orchard - cultivars "Jingyu" and "Dajiubao" grafted on Shantao rootstock (Prunus davidiana Franch.) - were established in the Experimental orchard of the First High School of Professional Training of Daxing county with the aim to test new cultural models of peach orchard in China.

The results showed that yield of "Jingyu" in the second and third year after planting, could reach 23.9 or 30.2 tons/ha, which were 12 or 30 times higher respectively, than that of control (regular peach orchard).

Compared to the control, fruit of the meadow orchard had larger size, better colour and content in soluble solids.
