Abstract:
Seven self-fertile Apulian almonds were naturally (≤ 20 pollen grains/stigma) and artificially (≥ 100 pollen grains/stigma) selfed and the production of double kernels examined.
On the average, the artificial selfing influenced markedly the production of doubles; yet, the selfing method did not affect the caracther expression of cvs.
