Abstract:
It was verified in mangoes type ‘Parvin’, ‘Keitt’ and ‘Tommy Atkins’, during 1991/1993, the incidence of physiological disorders.
In mangoes type ‘Parvin’, in 1991/1992, the incidence of “Radicel Sprout” in the seed was that of 25,9 to 47,6% and the “Breakdown” was that of 12,5 to 37,0%, when the fruits were stored under room temperatures (27,2C; 71,5% UR) or 5.5 to 28,6% of “Radicel Sprout” and 8,3 to 27,8% of “Breakdown”, when stored under refrigeration (14,0° C; 77,0% UR) for 21 days, before being taken to the ambience (29,0C; 58,8% UR). In the harvest of 1992/1993 the mango type ‘Parvin’ presented an incidence of “Radicel Sprout”, of 23,5 to 66,7%, when stored under room temperatures (25,4°C; 78,7% UR).
The mango type ‘Keitt’ showed in the Harvest of 1991/92 “Radicel Sprout” of 13,3 to 20,0% and “Breakdown” of 8,3 to 13,3%, under room temperature storages (27,8°C; 64,6% UR), or of 0,0% of “Radicel Sprout” and 8,3% of “Breakdown” when under refrigeration, before being taken to the ambience (26,7°C; 68,8% UR). As for “Tommy Atkins”, in the harvest of 1992/93 the incidence of “Radicel Sprout” on both ambiences was that of 0,0% while the “Breakdown” varied from 5.3 to 20% at room temperature (25,6°C; 77% UR) or from 7,1 to 9,1% when under refrigeration, before being taken to the ambience (26,7°C; 81,5% UR).
