EFFECT OF FERTILIZER RATES ON YIELD, PRODUCTIVE EFFICIENCY OF PEA ON BROWN PODZOLIC SOIL

Author:   M. Pulung
Abstract:
The change in pods yield (kg) per kg P applied which was defined as the productive efficiency was highest when P was applied at a rate of 400 kg P2O5/ha on acid Podzolic soil. The lowest yield of fresh pod was obtained without P fertilizer application, and varied between 351.08 to 773.63 kg/ha with rates of 100 to 400 kg P2O5/ha.

Apparent recovery of fertilizer P varied between 2.47 to 4.18 percent with rates of 100 to 400 kg P2O5/ha. The apparent recovery increased with the increase in fertilizer rate. Also, the yield of fresh pods increased with the increase in P-uptake up to the highest P rate (400 kg P2O5/ha).
