Abstract:
To explain the changes in consumer's demand of pear, an econometric model has been used in order to estimate the changes in pear consumption by social and cultural and economic variables of consumer during the periods 1963–1975 and 1976–1989. Consumer's information (newspapers, magazines, etc..) was a significative variable for the first period 1963–1975), while education, mass communication and income resulted significative for the second period (1976–1989). Technological aspects of domestic product, as perceived by consumer, were significativelly negative during the second period.
