ISHS Acta Horticulturae 366: II Symposium on Protected Cultivation of Solanacea in Mild Winter Climates

POSSIBLE ENERGY SAVING TECHNIQUES FOR MILD WINTER CLIMATES

Author:   K.E. Cockshull
Abstract:
Various physical methods of energy saving are described that could be of use in the protected cultivation of Solanaceous crops in areas with mild winter climates. Attention is also drawn to the need for a better understanding of crop responses to average temperature, as these responses may offer further scope for energy saving.
