| Abstract:
Palm tree asexual propagation are discussed. The main focus is related to enhancement of genetic variability, clonal propagation, and partially to obtention of virus free plants and germplasm conservation. Study cases of "in vitro" culture of 4 palm species, belonging to different genera, are described to demonstrate the potential and limitations of micropropagation in large-scale production of plantlets. | |
