Abstract:
The evolution of Carmelo hybrid tomato production it's described during june, july and august in San Pedro, on the north of Buenos Aires province.

The crop was grown under glasshouse heated by circulating hot water in aerial pipe, at the Experiment Station of San Pedro (Lat. 33° 41' S and Long. 59° 41' W.G.).

The trial was performed on a glasshouse of 10 m wide and 15 m long. with 5,5 m on the top and 2,5 m on the laterals.

The glasshouse ventilation was made by the opening of lateral and cenital windows.

The microclimate air variables were analyzed comparing the //////// environment inside the glasshouse and outdoors.

The inside and outside daily records of minimun, medium and maximun temperature and relative humidity were compared.

The thermic values of the coldest and the hotest weeks and the sunshine hours, during the growing season, were characterized.

The agronomic feasibility on Carmelo tomato production, during winter months, was shown under experimental conditions. The production levels for a harvest interval of 62 days, between june 16 to august 18, reached 3,90 kg/m2 for commercial yield and 5,44 kg/m2 for total yield, with 170 g. average weight of fruit.
