COMPARISON BETWEEN DIFFERENT BACTROCERA OLEAE (GMEL) CONTROL STRATEGIES.

Author:   R. Petacchi
Keywords:   olive fruit-fly, adulticide and larvicide treatments, population dynamics fruit-drop
Abstract:
Larvicide and adultcide methods were compared in an Eastern Ligurian olive-grove in two consecutive years (1991 and 1992), to study the possibility of reducing in both case the treatments against the key-pest (Bactrocera oleae (Gmel.)). Results of the first years, caracterized by high production, of study of dynamics population are reported. Adulticide method used in 'targeted' prevention strategie appeared to be a positive alternative in crop protection.
