Keywords:   dacic infestation, Integrated Pest Management, oil alteration, intervention thresholds
Abstract:
This paper presents the results of research carried out in on olive-grove of Eastern Liguria, on the Razzola cultivar, in order to measure influence of Bactrocera oleae (Gmelin) infestation on oil quality and alteration of various parameters as a result of different storage conditions. Analytical results of two years, 1990 and 1991, showed alterations of acidity, peroxide value and campesterol/stygmasterol ratio relating to the type of infestation and period of stockage after harvesting.

Results concerning the dacic infestation pattern allowed identification of the optimal harvesting period in years of low and high infestation and confirmed the importance of early harvesting.
