Abstract:
Phenology, shoot and fruit growth of cultivars 'Canino', 'Leccino', 'Maurino' and 'Pendolino' grown in two locations of the Canino area (Central Italy), differing for their microclimate, were observed during five years.
Timing of phenologyical stages differed among cultivars and was affected by thermal conditions.
The local cultivar 'Canino' was later and its vegetative behaviour was more dependent on crop load than the other cultivars.
