ISHS Acta Horticulturae 352: VI International Symposium on Rubus and Ribes

VARIATION IN DRUPELET NUMBER AND DRUPELET WEIGHT AMONG RASPBERRY CLONES IN WASHINGTON.

Author:   P. P. Moore
Abstract:
Five fruit were harvested at peak of the 1992 season from raspberry research plots at WSU Puyallup. Fresh weight of each fruit was determined and the number of drupelets and weight of seed was determined from frozen fruit. A total of 124 clones were represented by 324 fruit samples. Average fruit weight was 3.53 g (clone averages 6.53–1.53 g), had 91 drupelets (clone averages 145–40) of 39.4 mg (clone averages 76–18 mg) with 1.66 mg seed weight (clone averages 2.58–0.94 mg). There were highly significant differences (p<0.0001) among clones for all of the parameters.
