Abstract:
Sixth International Rubus-Ribes Symposium, organized under the patronage of International Society for Horticultural Science, was held in Skierniewice, Poland.
As a convener of organizing committee I have a pleasure to thank all our guests who took part in our symposium.
Our special guest was prof.
S.A. Pieniazek honorary member of ISHS and its late president, member of Polish Academy of Sciences, former director of the Research Institute of Pomology and Floriculture.
Opening ceremony was honoured with the presence of representatives of Ministry of Agriculture and scientific and administrative authorities; Special thanks are due to prof.
E. Lange the director of our Institute for providing lecture halls and the other facilities.
We are greatly indebted to our colleagues for their efficient help in preparing meetings and printed materials.
