| Abstract:
The growth-regulator Ethrel has been tested at various concentrations to anticipate abscission time of hazelnut fruit. The best treatment was 1000 ppm of Ethrel. 2000 ppm did not improve the results and also produced some phytotoxic effect on the canopy. The treatment at 500 ppm was not useful. Ethrel explicates its effect, chiefly in the second week from application and does not affect nut quality. | |
