Author:   I.N. Leese
Abstract:
The mission of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is to ensure better management of the Earth's environment by increasing the knowledge and understanding of the plant kingdom - the basis of life on earth. Part of this mission is achieved through the work of the School of Horticulture in awarding the Kew Diploma and Internship Programme Certificate to students from the United Kingdom and Overseas.

The paper will discuss the ways in which the resources of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew are currently utilised by other teaching and training establishments at home and abroad to further horticultural education.
