Abstract:
Berlin's University is proud of its long-standing scientific tradition in the field of horticulture.

Berlin is an ideal site for research and development in diversification, urban horticulture and related subjects.

As the Department of Horticulture in Berlin forms part of the Faculty of Agriculture it es directly connected to the appropriate faculties in the university. It can therefore both effectively participate in the latest developments in agricultural research and in other braches of science relevant to it, influencing and determining their course.

The new concepts in teaching and studies are characterized by

inclusion of ecological aspects in all fields,
completely new concept for the courses in economics,
extension of courses to fields served by horticulture.
improving education in methodology and on an experimental level.
