Abstract:
The official establishment of Integrated Fruit Production (IFP) in an organized form commenced in Poland in 1990. Until now IFP has been practiced in the central and southern parts of the country on a total area of 470 ha, by 117 apple growers, organized in 8 groups.
The initiative for introduction of IFP in Poland came from the Research Institute of Pomology and Floriculture in Skiernieuwice which continues to organise the programme.
The first labelled apples from IFP orchards are expected on the market in autumn 1993.
