ISOENZYMATIC CHARACTERIZATION OF STRAWBERRY CLONES IN SOUTHERN ITALY |

| Abstract:
Strawberry cultivation is widespread in Southern Italy. The cultivars utilized are related and a detailed characterization of the material is needed to obtain information about the current genetic variability. With this aim electrophoretic analyses were carried out using three enzyme systems (PGI, LAP, PGM) on 23 clones. Thus, preliminary information will be utilized for planning further research and breeding programmes. Fourteen classes were identified, and 9 out of 23 clones were classified uniquely. | |
