PROSTAGLANDINS OF TREE PLANTS |

| Abstract:
We established the availability and quantity of prostaglandins in various tree types: Poplar, Larch, Fir, Asp, Pine, Birch. Prostaglandins are contained in trees which grow in different geographical zones. They were discovered by us in Populus Balzamifera growing in the Far East (Khabarovsk), in Siberia (Krasnoyarsk), in the European part of USSR (Moscow). Larix Sibirica growing in Kizil, Krasnoyarsk and Turuchansk also contains prostaglandins. The trees of all types contain all basic types of prostaglandins (F,E,A,B). Obviousl the prostaglandins A and B presence are artefact. We established (E. Levin, T.Sedlova, I. Zimovtseva, 1985) that prostaglandins E are converted into prostaglandin A in the process of extraction from living tissues of higher plants. | |
