Abstract:
Some aspects of the postharvest life of three cultivars of the Cavendish sub-group of bananas (Dwarf Cavendish, Grand Nain and Williams) were evaluated.
Differences in the rate of peel color development and pulp firmness were detected.
Sensitivity to anthracnosis was also assessed.
Results indicate that cv.
Grand Nain and Williams present better commercial characteristics than Dwarf Cavendish.
