CHANGES IN DEMAND FOR FRUIT AND VEGETABLES IN POLAND

Author:   T. MARZEC-WO£CZYNSKA
Abstract:
Consumers in Poland faced a very new market situation in 1991. The supply of goods was on a level incomparably higher than during last 50 years. On the other hand the real income level of the majority of the households decreased during 1989–1991. The aim of study was to measure consumers' response to changes in supply, particularly to the new wide range of imported products.

As has been observed, the demand for some horticultural products increased in 1991. The main reason of that was the changes in supply. The economic situation caused changes in the structure of demand.
