| Abstract:
Susceptibility to fire blight of 84 Crataegus species was experimentaly assessed after shoot inoculation. Results showed that susceptibility to fire blight varied widely among this genus. Cases of extreme susceptibility were observed, as well as cases of apparent complete resistance. It is very likely that a selection of plants of interest as ornamentals, or for other purposes, could be done among the less susceptible clones. | |
