Abstract:
The speciality CUIVROL*, tested by Plant Protection Service, for several years, presents an interesting efficacy in the fight against fire bligth.
This degree of action, rather similar to the one of the Plantomycin is obtained for a preventive application; realised with a 50 gr copper dose per hl at blossom period.
Depending on the weather conditions and on the evolution of flowering, two treatements realised for 48 hours or 24 hours, and few hours (6h) before the infection period guarantee a good protection.
On the species and varieties of fruit tested, three applications of CUIVROL on flowering don't affect the setting of fruit.
Its phytotoxicity on the epidermis of the fruit of the cultivar Golden Delicious, after seven interventions, three of which on flowers, needs to be specified whereas it is proved to be satisfactory on cider varieties (Binet rouge and Peau de Chien).
