Abstract:
The response of A.vulgaris, A.atrata and A.chrysantha to pot cultivation has been analyzed during two vegetative cycles.
Cold storage conditions and growth regulators application have been tested in two species to make possible compact plants with earliness flowering.
New types of Aquilegia has been selected from progenies derived from controlled pollinations; and several traits for selection cycles are proposed.
The new types are distinguished by new flower colors, double layers of petals and shorter stem length.
