Abstract:
The antagonism NO3-/Cl- and Ca-Salinity is proved by means of a hydroponic culture.

Experiments have been carried out with bags of peat treated, type "sphagnum peat moss", for the perfectioning of fertigation with the culture of tomato in saline conditions.

An adequate dosis of nitrogenous fertilization allows the absorption of chlorides to be subdued. On the other hand, with an excess in each fertilizing irrigation, corresponding to 30 or 40% of leachate, an irrigation water of 3,5 mS/cm. can be used. A high salinity in the substrate hinders the absorption of Ca by the plant. In the saline conditions of the assay a yield of 120.000 Kg/ha has been obtained.
