| Abstract:
Several flavonoids have been found to increase the mucosal content of prostaglandins, protecting the gastric mucosa. The hypothesis of this kind of pharmacological activity for rutin has not been ascertained. The synthesis of a new oligomeric derivative of rutin with polyoxyethylenglycol - 350 -methylether, involving the glycoside residue of the etheroside was performed in order to improve rutin bioavailability.
