Abstract:
P-fluorophenylalanine (PFP)-resistant cell line of Arnebia euchroma suspension culture was obtained by means of stepwise selection.
The naphthoquinone biosynthesis was inhibited in this line and naphthoquinone spectrum was changed.
PFP-resistance was not accompanied by essential superproduction of free phenylalanine.
Amylase and esterase activity remained almost unchanged.
Cells with low chromosome number were more common and the level of anaphase disturbances was lower in resistant cell line as compared with the parent one.
