| Abstract:
As a support system in the field of investments a computer model (ECP-model) was developed. The main factors it predicts are gas consumption and crop production for tomato, cucumber or sweet pepper. In two growing seasons in 11 commercial greenhouses measurements on climate and crop growth were carried out and compared with a simulation by the ECP-model. Cumulative gas consumption over a year was simulated with an accuracy greater than 90 % and cumulative crop production with an accuracy greater than 95 %. | |
