| Abstract:
In March 1990 COBORU (Research Centre of Cultivars Testing) registered in the Polish Register of Original Cultivars 3 Polish cvs of Alstroemeria: CATALINA, INES and JUANITA. They are the first Polish cvs of Alstroemeria and have been bred with the help of gamma rays. The colours of their flowers are as follows: CATALINA bright violet, INES salmon pink and JUANITA orange red. The productivity of these cvs is high, 31–40% higher than the productivity of well known cvs as Red Sunset, Mona Lisa or Pink Triumph. INES blooms all the year round, without extra lighting and gives even in winter time normal, attractive flowers. JUANITA can also bloom all the year round, but only under good light conditions. CATALINA blooms till the end of November, with the highest production in April - August. | |
