Abstract:
This research has been carried out to find the best harvest date in order to obtain a good production of gladiolus corms which can be used for cut flowers and propagation material (minicorms and kralen) production.
The results show that under the environmental conditions a high percentage (68%) of large corms (from 14/+ to 10–12) can be obtained if the corms are lifted in the second decade of October.
An early harvest does not have an effect on the kralen production.
Important differences among the cultivars were observed.
