| Abstract:
Abortion of inflorescences reduce economic yield in Nerine bowdenii W.Watts. Flowering and non-flowering plants were identified during the flowering period in a commercial planting of N. bowdenii. At the time of leaf senescence plants were lifted and dissected and a number of variables recorded. Discriminant analyses revealed that a number of the "sink", "source" and "sink/source" variables were useful to discriminate between flowering and non-flowering bulbs. | |
