| Abstract:
The 170 cultivars of Thai mango (Mangifera indica L.) under domestication have been investigated. The IBPGR Tropical Fruit Descriptors is adopted to characterize Thai mango in the present study. Specific leaf and fruit characters have been observed to be highly heritable. Using the above characters, Thai mango can be classified into eight groups, namely : a) Kaew, b) Nam-Dokmai, c) Pram, d) Nang-klangwan, e) Round size, f) Ok-rong, g) Khiew- sawei and h) Big size. | |
