| Abstract:
Banding patterns of different isozymes of Philppine banana cultivars/species belonging to various genomic groups were examined using polyacrylamide or starch gel electrophoresis. These include glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT), acid phosphatase (AcP), phosphoglucomutase (PGM), shikimate dehydrogenase (SkDH) and tetrazolium oxidase (TO). SkDH exhibited a monomorphic banding pattern while the rest are polymorphic having 2–10 bands. | |
