LIQUID MEDIA TO IMPROVE AND REDUCE THE COST OF IN VITRO CONIFER PROPAGATION

Authors:   M. Pâques, J. Bercetche, E. Dumas
Abstract:
The potentialities of in vitro propagation technics are very attractive in term of large scale propagation. Despite this fact, the application of those technics to forest trees is very limited. It could be explained by the high cost of vitro plants in comparison with cuttings but also by the insufficient in vitro plant physiology control.

This paper presents preliminary results on liquid media applications in new containers in view to obtain a better control of in vitro plant physiology and to decrease the cost of microcuttings and emblings production.
