Abstract:
The somatic embryos of celery improved through the successive processes, which are composed of promotion of embryo development, dehydration of embryos and post-culture after dehydration, could efficiently convert to whole plants under non-sterile condition.
The conversion rates of naked and encapsulated embryos in greenhouse were 53–80% and 25–45%, respectively.
The regeneration medium containing Asparagine and Glutamine and no carbohydrates was very effective to attain the reliable somatic embryogenesis in our system.
