ISHS Acta Horticulturae 318: II International Symposium on Specialty and Exotic Vegetable Crops

A MULTIVARIATE MORPHOMETRIC STUDY ON LANDRACE DIFFERENTIATION IN BROCCOLI RAAB (BRASSICA RAPA L.).

Authors:   G. Fanizza, G. Damato, V.V. Bianco
Abstract:
A study on the diversity of broccoli raab landraces has been accomplished through a multivariate analysis (principal component, cluster). One hundred and six landraces collected in different areas of Southern Italy have been differentiated by the flowering time and not by their areas of provenance. Most of them are very similar even though they are grown in different localities under different names. It is suggested that most landraces, adapted to mediterranean environment, have been introduced in different areas of Southern Italy and named after the locality.
