Abstract:
A technique for in vitro and in vivo rooting of micropropagated Leucospermum cordifolium was developed.
High light intensity and IBA (1–3 mg/l) were found to be the best combination for root initiation.
A ventilated high humidity environment (using a centrifugal fogging machine) in conjunction with relatively high light intensities produced the best success in weaning.
Same results were obtained with in vivo rooting after the plant material was induced with 1–3 mg/l IBA in vitro for 13 days.
