Abstract:
Experiments carried out with two systemic fungicides to control Nectria radicicola infection of cyclamen gave very promising results.
Use of Benlate or of NF 35 at a dosage of 50 g a.i. per m3 of soil gave a very good seedlings control of the parasite.
Use of these fungicides at the same rate in the pot soil is also advantageous.
Although both compounds are systemic, they have 3 months after application no more protective effect against an infection.
The effect of Thiram is insufficient to control a Nectria infection of cyclamen.
