| Abstract:
The Federal Plant Protection Institute has with pleasure undertaken the task of organizing this internationally important and interesting symposium, and thus to document the significance with which Austrian plant protection regards this meeting. We were delighted that so many foreign guests have found their way to Austria and especially to Vienna. This honoured us greatly, simultaneously it also pledged us to make the sojourn of the participants in our city and their attendance at this symposium as agreeable and fruitful as possible. It is well-known that Vienna has strived to consolidate her reputation during the last years as a city for congresses and symposia, not only on a national basis, but also as a meetingpoint for the international scientific community. Seen thus, we thank ISHS for the decision to lay the organization of this conference in our hands and allow us to provide for the participants in Vienna and in Austria. | |
