| Abstract:
The embryological stages of development of the carmine spider mite (Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisduval), a pest of carnations (Dianthus caryophyllus L.), were observed using light microscopy. Cleavage, formation of germinative band, segmentation and appendage development of the larva were characterized. The structure of tissues like nervous, excretory, digestive and respiratory were also observed. Poisoning symptoms by tetradifon were observed in intact eggs and they were similar in the majority of ages. | |
