| Abstract:
Only few economic researchers have been engaged in the field of aromatic and medicinal plants. Still, valuable results are needed to drive a realistic economic policy and scientific research programmes according to the market trends. A compilation of the available data has been made in the main producing countries, coming from brokers, customs statistics and international organizations. As the price instability of the natural produces is affecting the competetion with synthetic substitutes, more efforts are required to minimise the year-to-year variations in supplies. | |
