Abstract:
The results of two years pot experiments with three different camomile genotypes revieled that the yield contributing characters, drug and straw yields, content of the essential oil and flavonoids were significantly affected by the sowing seasons and favoured by increased nitrogen level.
However significant genotypic differences were observed.
The genotype R-43 was found to be a late maturing and winter resistant type, producing higher yield with a good content of the essential-oil and flavonoids due to autumn sowing.
Apigenin and apigenin -7- glycoside content showed strong flactuations in flower harvesting frequencies, the highest concentration mainly being in the second harvest for Degumill and BK2–39.
