Abstract:
Dipsacus sylvestris is the first of the Dipsacus species which has been investigated for iridoid content by Jensen et al. /l/ who isolated bisiridoids sylvestrosides I-IV and cantleyoside as well as loganin and sweroside from it.
Recently, we have isolated nine new bisiridoids laciniatosides I-IX /1–9/, three known bisiridoids /10, 11, 12/ and two iridoids /16, 17/ from D. laciniatus. 1 and 3 have been found in D. sylvestris, D. sativus and D. fullonum, 10 and 11 in D. sativus and D. fullonum as well.
