FATS FROM FOXGLOVE SEEDS ( DIGITALIS LANATA EHRH. ) |

| Abstract:
The value of 28.9 % of fatty oil was obtained by extraction of the foxglove seeds in Soxhlet apparatus with petrolether. The residium after the saponification of the fatty oil was about 4.6 %. GC of the fatty oil was used for the identification and determination of the fatty acids percentage. Thin-layer chromatography was used for differentiation of fractions of the fatty oil. Total lipids extraction was also done with fast dry method on Celite-545 column, and the identification and determination of the fatty acids percentage was worked out by using of GC analysis. | |
