ISHS Acta Horticulturae 305: First European Workshop on Thermogenesis and Photomorphogenesis in the Cultivation of Ornamentals

EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON DEVELOPMENT RATE AND LENGTH INCREASE OF TOMATO, CUCUMBER AND SWEET PEPPER.

Author:   A.N.M. de Koning
Keywords:   temperature, development rate, length increase, tomato, cucumber, sweet pepper
Abstract:
Development rate of tomato, cucumber and sweet pepper depends on the average temperature only, while internode length of those crops is affected strongly by the day/night temperature regime, i.e. short internodes at low day/night temperature difference. Plant length increase depends on both: average temperature and day/night temperature regime.
